Rafael Nadal, the 36-year-old Spaniard is widely regarded as the greatest tennis player of all time by millions around the world, winning 22 Grand Slams throughout the course of his career which is more than any player in history. Only Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer come close to Nadal’s numbers with 21 and 20 Grand Slams to their name respectively.

Adolfo Daniel Vallejo or Dani Vallejo for short is a Paraguayan professional who currently sits comfortably at world number 2 in the ITF junior rankings, the 18-year-old was seen training at Rafael Nadal’s academy on the island of Mallorca where he even practices Nadal himself.

Dani Vallejo played several ITF tournaments through which he was able to score some much-needed points and was able to make his debut in the top 1000 in the world as he currently sits at rank 873 in the world, Vallejo also made it known that it was Ramon Delgado who gave the teenager the opportunity to train at Rafael Nadal’s academy in Mallorca and how it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for him.

The Paraguayan teenager took to Twitter to share a picture of him with Rafael Nadal himself captioned “what better than this? Thank you“, Nadal became a sparring partner for the youngster as the Spaniard himself prepares for the final major of the season in the form of the US Open.

Nadal had an unfortunate to his Wimbledon run this year as after defeating Taylor Fritz in a thrilling quarter-final showdown, the Spaniard was forced to retire from the tournament before the semi-finals due to an abdominal injury, Nadal was scheduled to face Nick Kyrgios in the semi-finals but Kyrgios got a walkover into the final where he lost to Novak Djokovic. Nadal will be looking to enter the US Open in top shape and the Spaniard will aim at adding yet another Grand Slam title to his name.
