Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic has been the talk of the town right from the start of this year. His ‘unvaccinated status’ is creating a lot of buzzes. Firstly, at the 2022 Australian Open, he faced deportation from the country which was something shocking for him and his fans all over the world. Even after fighting his battle and overcoming all the challenges, he came out as the champion in the 2022 Wimbledon Championship defeating Nick Kyrgios. It was his 21st Grand Slam title as well as his 7th Wimbledon title, the 4th in a row. He remains undefeated at the SW19.

Even after showing what a true champion is made of, he still has a long way to go ahead of the 2022 US Open as he will not be allowed to play until and unless he gets vaccinated. But his firm stance of having no intention of getting vaccinated soon has landed him into another trouble. He will not by any chance bow down to any pressure. This has widely created various opinions about him again.

“Let Novak Djokovic play at the US Open”: Jason Vale

Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic, in the year 2020, was disqualified from the ongoing fourth-round match after he hit a line official with a ball. He has won three titles at the US Open but has also lost six finals. Last year, he lost in the finals to Daniil Medvedev, ending his run for a calendar Grand Slam. Jason Vale, also known as The Juice Master, is an English author, motivational speaker, and lifestyle coach. He feels that Djokovic should be allowed to participate at the 2022 US Open after considering him as an exemption since he was allowed to play last year. He said, “It’s insane to not let one of the healthiest people on the earth compete. Let him play”.

He supported Djokovic’s stance on not getting the COVID-19 vaccine and criticized the authorities for their ill-logical and impractical decision. He further said that “If you’re vaccinated it doesn’t stop you from passing it or getting it so what possible ‘logic’ or ‘science’ is there in the decision.”
