Novak Djokovic secured victory at the Paris Masters, further widening the gap between himself and Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP rankings. He also came close to etching his name in history by potentially achieving the 400th week at the top.
Djokovic defeated Grigor Dimitrov to claim the title and played a strong all-around game to win the match 6-4, 6-3. He became the first player to win 40 Masters 1000 titles. The Serb’s consistent baseline play gave Dimitrov few chances to raise his level, and one break in each set was enough for Djokovic to win in 98 minutes.
During the trophy presentation ceremony, the 24-time grand slam winner’s wristwatch caught the eye of everyone in Paris, drawing immense attention. He sported the “Big Bang Unico Yellow Magic” model by Hublot, a brand he has partnered with for some time. With only 250 pieces of this watch in distribution, Djokovic stands among the fortunate few who can boast of owning such a rare timepiece. The watch is priced at a staggering $28,300 in the market.
It watch features a 42-millimeter case and a frame crafted from yellow ceramic. Its uncanny color has earned it the nickname “yellow magic” and now, needless to say, so many tennis fans will be vying to get their hands on it.
The World No.1’s passion for watches is well-known, and this addition to his extensive collection has particularly delighted his admirers.
Novak Djokovic’s association with Humblot
Novak Djokovic is no stranger to luxury timepieces. After a three-year stint as an Audemars Piguet brand ambassador, he signed with Seiko, remaining with the Japanese company until joining Hublot in 2021.
Djokovic joined Team Hublot in 2021, alongside Usain Bolt and Kylian Mbappe.
At the time the World No.1 said:
As an athlete driven by the ambition to make history in tennis, I am particularly proud of the opportunity to join the Hublot family, which already boasts athletes who have left their mark on their respective disciplines by becoming legends like Kylian Mbappé or Usain Bolt. With Hublot, we still have so much to win, together!
Tennis players, particularly those who win a lot of titles, are actively sought after by watchmakers to promote their timepieces. Hublot was very pleased to have Djokovic represent their brand.
