The French Open 2022, the 126th edition of the claycourt major is scheduled to start on 22nd May 2022 with the Finals for the Grand Slam scheduled on 4th and 5th June across disciplines. The Grand Slam will be played as always in the Roland Garros Stadium in Paris and will have 14 disciplines being played out over the course of the fortnight.
This year’s edition will mark the first time that all four Grand Slams will have a common rule on how the tiebreakers are decided upon with the decider set going into tiebreakers at 6-6. It will also be the first Grand Slam where the players from Russia and Belarus will not be allowed to have their national flags in front of their names due to the suspension of their tennis federations because of the Ukraine-Russia War.
