Marie Bouzkova, the young Czech tennis player has put some spotlight on herself after knocking out three dangerous opponents including Danielle Collins and Alison Riske at Wimbledon 2022. She has reached the fourth round of Wimbledon 2022 and this is her best-ever Grand Slam singles performance. Bouzkova turned pro at 14 years and she has won 12 ITF singles titles, her doubles record stands with 3WTA and 3ITF titles.

Bouzkova has come agonizingly close to WTA singles titles. She played in three WTA finals losing each time in three sets. She had also lost two of her doubles finals on the WTA Tour before winning the next three. Bouzkova was a junior Grand Slam champion winning the 2014 US Open after defeating Anhelina Kalinina in the final. Bouzkova is also pursuing a degree in business administration at Indiana University East.

Bouzkova’s parents moved to the United States from Prague and she started training at the age of 10 at Bollietieri Academy for two years, she continued to work with her dad and then Cristian Requeni came in to take over as her main coach in 2014.

Racqueni is a renowned Spanish tennis coach and he along with Bouzkova’s father has been instrumental in her success. Though Racqeni is popular on the tennis circuit, there is no information about him as he likes to keep all the information private.
