The Wimbledon 2022 will have its finals for men’s singles on 10th July at 2:00 PM local time on the Center Court with the match being played between the No. 3 ATP ranked Novak Djokovic and No. 40 ranked Nick Kyrgios.
Kyrgios, after all the controversies around him, has managed to get into the final of the tournament. He also became the first unseeded player in 19 years to reach the Wimbledon men’s singles final and it is going to be Nick’s first major final whereas Djokovic will be playing the 32nd grand slam final of his career with a 20-11 win-loss record in major finals.

The chair umpire for the men’s singles final is Renaud Lichtenstein, who is 41 years old from Valence, France. He’s the same umpire Kyrgios once called “stupid” and a “f***ing idiot” after a blow-up at the 2020 Australian Open. Unaware that Kyrgios had sliced open his hand after falling on the court, Lichtenstein issued a code violation against the Australian for taking too long between serves.
Lichtenstein has been in rows with other leading players and is regarded as a no-nonsense official. The 41-year-old is one of the most experienced chair umpires in the game. He has been in charge of four previous grand slam finals, as well as three year-end ATP Finals, Davis Cups and Billie Jean King Cup ties around the world plus the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012.
