From her annual pizza party in New York to her performances on the court, Genie Bouchard excels in making a name for herself.
This year has been sort of underwhelming for Bouchard as she signed up to participate at the Roland Garros this year but had to pull out before even playing the event due to fitness issues and the same thing happened in the case of this year’s Wimbledon as well where Bouchard was absent.

In a hilarious moment on Twitter, a news page made a post about the Canadian player’s wild card entry into the Chennai Open, the tournament is scheduled to commence on the 12th of September and will go on until the 18th of September, in the post that announced Eugenie Bouchard’s entry into the event, the news page used a picture of the Canadian from the 2012 Junior Wimbledon which stirred a lot of laughs on the social media platform.
After seeing her picture, Bouchard tweeted a reply by saying, “So excited! But why’d they use my pic from junior Wimbledon 2012!” the moment was taken lightly by the Canadian professional as she successfully made a joke out of it. Currently playing in the US Open qualifiers, Eugenie Bouchard played against Yuki Naito where Bouchard won the game by 6-3, 6-3. She will be facing Linda Noskova in the next qualifier match.
After missing out on the Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year, Genie Bouchard will have her sights set on the US Open which is the final major tournament of the season and the Canadian professional would be looking to go all out with her performances and make up for an underwhelming season.
