Bianca Andreescu had a breakout year in 2019 on the tour, winning the US Open, Indian Wells, and the Canadian Open, but ever since, she has battled injuries and mental health issues. Emina Bektas, who is currently ranked 855th in the world, has had a terrible season thus far, as evidenced by her 12-12 win-loss record going into Wimbledon. Emina Bektas entered each of her Wimbledon 2022 qualifying matches as the second-favourite, but now the American has advanced to just her fifth Grand Slam main event.
