World No. 9 Cameron Norrie has been in stellar form and after a brilliant win in the first round tie against Pablo Andujar where he beat Pablo in straight sets he had to play Jaume Munar in the second round. Jaume gave Norrie a scare and a great test for the qualification. Both battled it out in a five-set thriller and Norrie was lucky in the end to qualify for the third round where he faced Steve Johnson. It was all but a comfortable and straight forward match for Norrie as he didn’t have to sweat it out to win the tie. Johnson never really came close to test the local boy and Norrie ended the match with clear stalemate in the third set and qualified for the round of 16 with a 6-4, 6-1, 6-0 win over the American.

On the other hand, Tommy Paul who has been playing his first Wimbledon has been quite impressive and a joy to watch. He faced Fernando Verdasco in the first round and found a easy win over him. He went on to play against Adrian Mannarino who as well couldn’t manage to trouble Tommy and Tommy progressed to the third round without any difficulty setting up a match with Jiri Vesely. The result was same as the first two matches and neither Vesely could come up with a reply and couldn’t match Tommy’s brilliance and the match ended with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 win reaching the fourth round of a Grand Slam competition for the first time in his career.
