World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas had to face Alexander Ritschard in the first round matchup and he face a scare and found it hard to get past him. After a hard-fought win in the first round, he faced Jordan Thompson in the second round. He needed three sets to win the match and the first two sets was quite easy for him as he went past Thompson with ease. But Thompson caused Tsitipas problems in the third set but he eventually won the match 6-2, 6-3, 7-5.
On the other hand, Nick Kyrgios found it hard to beat Paul Jubb inthe first-round match. He needed five sets to finally win the match. After such a hard fought victory in the first round, he face Filip Krajinovic in the second round, where was completely dominating and was in a stellar form. Krajinovic didn’t trouble Krygios and Krygios finally won the match with quite ease and progressed to the next round with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 win.
