The Tunisian World No. 6 Ons Jabeur booked a spot in the last four after a comeback win over the Kazhak World No.3 Elena Rybakina. The final score of the instant classic was 6-7(5-7), 6-4, 6-1. The Tunisian showed the mentality of a true champion in the crucial moments of the thriller being able to save 7 out of the 9 break points she offered. In return, she was able to break the Kazhak star 5 times which made the differences in the final results.

Before the quarter-finals, Jabeur had lost only a single set. This was in the third round against the Canadian promising talent Bianca Andreescu. Then also, she had to come back from one set down. Aryna Sabelanka on the other hand had a comfortable ride to the semis defeating the American star Madison Keys in straights: 6-2, 6-4.

She has lost only one set in the whole tournament. This was in round 2 against the unseeded French player Varvara Gracheva. That was also the most difficult match she had where she had to wait until the 11th game of the second set to get a break up after losing the first set 2-6. She won the next two sets by a score of 7-5 and 6-2 after consolidating the break in the second set.

This is the second Wimbledon semi-final for both Aryna Sabalenka and Ons Jabeur. In 2021, these two met in the quarter-finals here when the Belarusian prevailed before losing in the semi-finals.
