Aryna Sabalenka vs Elena Rybakina: Match Preview
The Belarusian is currently enjoying the time of her life. She just made World No.1 after the US Open, when former World No.1 Iga Swiatek suffered an early exit at the US Open. Sabalenka made it to the final of the US Open, where she was defeated by the American teenager, Coco Gauff. This season has been one of the dreams for the 25-year-old. She won her maiden Grand Slam title at the Australian Open 2023. She is currently in her best form yet.
Rybakina on the other hand, did not do so badly herself. The last couple of years have been magnificent for the Kazakh. She, like her opponent, won her first Grand Slam title only recently. However, it was at the Wimbledon 2022 for her. With a career-high ranking of World No.3 which she reached in June of 2023, he is currently ranked fifth in the World.
Aryna Sabalenka vs Elena Rybakina: Match Prediction
The World No.1 has had a stellar season this year. She has been in the peak form of her career to date. The Belarusian saw her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. She also has a WTA 1000 title at the 2023 Madrid Open. However, the duo have faced each other on the court five times, with Sabalenka defeating Rybakina in four of these meetings.
Rybakina, however, has one victory against the Belarusian. This victory, however, is at the Indian Wells final, where she clinched the title. This tournament as well as the Italian Open where she won a second WTA 1000 title, played a major role in her qualification to the WTA Finals. Rybakina though is playing at her highest level, does not seem to hold the strength to defeat the World No.1.
Prediction: Sabalenka to win in three sets.
