Iga Swiatek has been in sensational form. This is probably the best tennis fans have seen her play and move on the court. She is simply thrashing her opponents and piling up wins one after another. She bagged the Sunshine Double as she defeated Naomi Osaka in the finals of the Miami Open. The newly crowned World No.1 has simply grown in stature with added responsibility. 

The young Pole loves to play on clay and her record on this surface is pretty good. Therefore stopping her in Stuttgart or even anywhere on clay will need a stupendous effort from her opponents. For now the youngsters i al set to grab his 21st consecutive win on tour as she takes on talented teenage sensation Emma Raducanu.

On the other hand, Emma Raducanu hardly has any experience on clay. The WTA Stuttgart Open is her first tournament on tour and this will be the third match, so expecting her to beat the World no.1 on her favourite surface will be a stretch. But the youngster’s movement and gameplay has looked very promising. She defeated Storm Sanders in the first round followed by a three set win against local player Tamara Korpatsch. But it will surely be an uphill battle for Britain’s No.1.

Swiatek has demolished her opponents in the last few weeks. She has been superb on tour this year and looking at her form, Swiatek is easily the favourite to win the quarterfinal clash. The World No.1 who has won the French Open title back in 2020 is once again making a strong case to win the title again this year. She is gradually piling up the results under his belt with the aim of being absolutely ready for the upcoming mega clash on red dirt. 

Raducanu on the other hand, Emma Raducanu played her first match on clay at the Billie Jean King Cup. She started with a win against Tereza Martincova but she then struggled against Marketa Vondrousova due to foot blisters and lost out pretty badly. 

But the British youngster’s comeback at the WTA Stuttgart Open has been very commendable. Raducanu defeated Storm Sanders with ease and had some trouble against Tamara Korpatsch in the second round. So she has had some practice on the indoor clay courts in Stuttgart. So it promises to be a very exciting clash between two young talents. But it will surely be an uphill battle for the Briton.
