Andrey Rublev won the Serbia Open 2022, with a dominating win over Novak Djokovic. He defeated the world number 1, in front of his home crowd and took home his 11th singles career title. Rublev has consistently proven himself worthy of the admiration and the praise he gets from fans all over the world, for his exceptional tennis and his beautiful nature.
Rublev is ranked number 8 in the world and he is a bright young talent. He has reached the quarterfinals of all the grand slams except the Wimbledon, where his best performance has been reaching the Round of 16. Rublev is improving and with this win over Djokovic, he not only made their head-to-head score 1-1, but also now boasts of having a victory over all the Big-3.

Andrey Rublev is one of the most gracious losers and an even better winner. He credited Novak Djokovic with the exceptionally strong performance and never give up mindset he had shown throughout the tournament after coming back from many terrible situations.
Rublev was really happy with his performance and he said that he was grateful to have an opportunity to play against one of the best players in history. He was delighted for this chance and he would look to play many more matches with the world number 1.
Rublev said, “First of all, I want to talk to Nole, I honestly don’t know what to say, when you are one of the greatest players in history. It’s a big honour to play against you, and share the court with you. Hopefully, I would see you for many years and we will have many more battles, I wish.”
It was a tough battle for Rublev as he was up against an inspired Novak who was looking to finish strongly in front of his home crowd and get back to his trophy-winning ways. Rublev managed to keep his nerves calm after Djokovic’s second set win and win the third one absolutely dominatingly.
Rublev wished Novak the best and said that he hopes that he will be able to play Djokovic for many years and have the honor that he had today of sharing a court. Rublev would be pumped for the French Open with a win over Novak in Belgrade. He won his first Serbia Open title and his 11th overall.
