Stan the man was a great rival to Roger, Rafa, and Novak as well. He has an amazing 3-1 record in the finals of the Grand Slam. His head-to-head score against Roger is 3-23, against Rafa it’s 3-19, and against Novak, it’s 6-1. But, he had beat Novak in the most crucial times as Novak was his scalp in 2 of his 3 Grand Slam titles, Stan leads 4-3 in the Grand Slam against Novak. Rafa Nadal was his third victim in the Australian Open. Stanislas Wawrinka has had an illustrious career with numerous notable moments. Some people believe that if Stan was not born in Switzerland, or if Roger was not such a towering figure, Stan could have done even better in his career.

Stan has been a victim of quite some injuries in recent years and had to drop out of many tournaments for the same. He even dropped out of the top 250 in the ATP rankings.

Stan Wawrinka is back in 2022 in Monte Carlo, looking for a resurgence. In an interview, when asked about whether Nadal and Roger have inspired him, he said, “Inspiration, no, because they have always been out of the ordinary. They did what the other players could never do. I admire them. With Novak, they belong to an extraordinary category.”

Stanislas Wawrinka is a fantastic competitor and his humility is even more impressive. He is downplaying his achievements of 16 career titles, 3 grand slams, and even an Olympic gold. He believes that ‘The Big Three‘ are on a completely different level since he can’t think of himself at that level. They might not be best suited as his inspirations. Stan has the utmost respect for Roger, Rafa, and Djokovic and all they have achieved.
