Novak Djokovic registered his 25th Grandslam victory of the year, as he defeated the American, Jenson Brooksby in the fourth round encounter at US Open 2021. The Serbian will now face the Italian, Matteo Berrettini in the quarterfinals at Flushing Meadows.

Novak Djokovic lost the first set to the American youngster, who completely outplayed him in the first set. The Serbian lost the first set by a score-line of 6-1, but came back storming into the match, winning the next three sets.

Andy Roddick, former US Open champion is a huge admirer of Novak Djokovic’s abilities. The American described Novak Djokovic as a player who physically tires his opponents in the start, and slowly starts to hunt on their souls.

When Jenson Brooksby won the first set convincingly, Andy Roddick stated that Novak Djokovic will make the match a painful physical experience for the American youngster.

Just after the match, Novak Djokovic was asked to give his thoughts on Roddick’s tweet. The Serbian came up with a fairly creative answer, which had the entire stadium on its feet. The Serbian said that he does not hunt souls, but will take out the legs of his opponents, for sure.

Everyone has their soul, we are all beautiful souls, so I appreciate everyone,” Djokovic said as the fans cheered him on. “But, I’ll take your legs out. That’s for sure,” the top seed added.
