Novak Djokovic is Back in Business, world No.1 wins first match on comeback

Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic won his first game after his return back onto the tour. He was playing his first game of the year after getting deported from Australia due to his unvaccinated status.
The world No.1 was on a domination streak in 2021 and won 3 out of the 4 grand slams. He was expected to play at the Australian Open and defend his title for the fourth consecutive time.
However, he wasn’t allowed to play at the Australian Open and was stolen the chance of defending his title. He finally made it back onto the tour at the Dubai Tennis Championship, a tournament which he has won 5 times in his career and won his first game.
Novak Djokovic RETURNS to the tour

Novak Djokovic hasn’t had the start to 2022 that he would’ve desired. There have been a lot of allegations on the world No.1 and he has been under the constant scrutiny of the fans and the officials for a long time.
His deportation from Australia followed many tournaments making vaccination compulsory for participation. However, the Serb got an opportunity to play at the Dubai Tennis Championship and grabbed it with both hands.
He played his first match of 2022 against the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who he defeated in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, and made it to the next round of the tournament.
His comfortable win against Musetti showed the hunger inside Djokovic to play big matches and win them against the best in the world. Although the match wasn’t a huge challenge for Djokovic, he will be happy to win the first match on his comeback convincingly.
