Novak Djokovic after not being allowed to contest at the Australian Open is finally going to play his first match in 2022 at the Dubai Tennis Championship 2022. In his first press conference of the year, he talked about his excitement about returning back onto the tour and playing the game he loves.

The world No.1 was deported from Australia due to his vaccination status. He fought two cases in Australia, won one and lost the other and was deported out of Australia, and wasn’t allowed to contest in the Australian Open 2022.

He is finally going to play his first match at the 2022 Duty-Free Dubai Tennis Championship. In his first press conference in 2022 he was asked about his feelings on returning to the court after such a long time, he displayed his excitement and said that he said ready to play the tournament.

Novak Djokovic won three out of the four grand slams last year and was the runner-up at the fourth grand slam. His domination in 2021 was an example of how great a player he is. His game is the best irrespective of the surface and he has truly performed like the world’s No.1 in the past year.

Djokovic 2022 hasn’t been nearly as good as his 2021 was. The year began with him getting deported out of Australia due to his vaccination status and he wasn’t being able to defend his Australian Open title.

However, he is back in action at the 2022 Duty-free Dubai Tennis Championship and will be expecting to return back onto the tour in style with a victory. He will be facing Italian Lorenzo Musetti in his first-round match.

In his first press conference, Djokovic was asked about his feeling about returning back onto the tour and his preparation for his comeback tournament. He said, “Knowing I was coming to Dubai, I had something to work for, I had a goal. So now that I’m here I could say that I am as well-prepared as I possibly can be and I’m excited to, again, be on the tour. That’s all I’m feeling at the moment”

Djokovic fans will be eager to watch the world No.1 back in action after a long time and will be looking forward to him playing many more tournaments in the coming times
