French Open to support Novak Djokovic’s Vaccine Stance, ANNOUNCE BIG DECISION on his RG participation
Novak Djokovic
Amidst all the DRAMA at the Australian Open about Novak Djokovic medical exemption and then his VISA being canceled, French Open released some great news for Serbian World No.1.
According to a statement made by France’s sports minister, Novak Djokovic won’t face any problems in participating in the French Open. France doesn’t have any stringent rules about vaccination like Australia.
Novak Djokovic will play a MAJOR in 2022
Novak Djokovic is currently detained by the Australian authorities in a quarantine hotel until his case has been heard by a jury on Monday. This Monday, the final decision on Djokovic’s participation at the Australian Open will be made.
However, there has been some good news for world No.1. In a recent report by the Sports Minister of France Roxana Mărăcineanu Novak Djokovic is expected to play at the French Open 2022. In her interview, Roxana said, “An athlete who is unvaccinated can compete in an event because the French protocol, the health bubble for these major events, permits that.”
“In France today we do not have the same regulations as Australia for entry to the country, either for athletes or any citizens from other countries. An athlete who is unvaccinated can compete in an event because the protocol, the health bubble for these major events, permits that,” she added.
There is still a slight chance that Djokovic might be allowed to play the Australian Open. However, we are sure to expect Djokovic to play at the French Open and defend his title at the Roland Garros and become the player with the most number of Grand Slams by overtaking Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal who might have a chance to get a lead at the Australian Open itself.
