Naomi Osaka has been going through a lean patch on the court. She withdrew from the French Open midway and delivering underwhelming performances at the Tokyo Olympics and Cincinnati Open. However, despite all controversies, the Japanese tennis star has attracted loads of big brands.
Osaka has most recently collaborated with globally renowned clothing brand Levi’s which will bring in the big bucks for the talented youngster. Needless to say, the charismatic tennis player is definitely a sports star big companies want to invest in. Moreover, apart from Osaka, two more tennis players made their way into the top 10.
Novak Djokovic on number 9, whereas Tsitsipas placed at 8th position in the list
Naomi Osaka has been roped in by Louis Vuitton as a brand ambassador. Moreover, she has also partnered with Nike, Frankies Bikinis, Adeam, Strathberry, Shiseido, BareMinerals, and sunscreen brand Anessa. Therefore, being second on the list of most marketable players doesn’t come as a surprise for Osaka.
Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas features at the 8th position on the list. He has surpassed Worl No. 1 Novak Djokovic who features at number 9. Tsitsipas is connected with major brands like Adidas, Rolex, Wilson, Melissa, Rexona, New Balance, Verrazzano Capital, and Lotto Sport as well.
On the other hand, Serbian tennis star and one of the greatest tennis players of this era, Novak Djokovic, who is ranked 9th in the list is also associated with top global brands like ASICS, Head, NetJets, Seiko Watch Corporation, ANZ Banking and Peugeot.
Looking at the list, it would be fair to say the market is changing as new superstars of tennis are making their presence felt on the global level. It would be interesting to see how these three tennis stars, who have made the top 10, perform in the coming tournaments.
