The duo has a similar routine planned out for the year and even has the same post-match routine. However, this was not the first time the couple was spotted together at the gym. Early this year, Tsitsipas and Badosa were seen on a post-match recovery session at the 2024 Australian Open. Last year, Tsitsipas’ stated in an interview that he loved to spend time with his girlfriend and changed his routines to make ends meet.
The tennis couple started their Cincinnati Open run on August 14th after wrapping up their Canadian Open participation. Tsitsipas entered the Round of 32 in Cincinnati but lost to Jack Draper. While Badosa has reached the quarterfinals scheduled for 18th of August.
Paula Badosa lost focus when Stefanos Tsitsipas lost set
Stefanos Tsitsipas was set to play his first round match of the Open against Jan-Lennard Struff. Paula Badosa was also scheduled at the same time adjacent to the grandstand against Payton Sterns. Although she won the match with great ease, Badosa found it difficult to play on the grandstand.
In a post-match interview, Paula Badosa revealed that it wasn’t easy for her to hear about Tsitsipas’ match results while playing. She admitted losing focus when he lost the first set and often had to remind herself to concentrate on her own game. She even jokingly requested not to have their matches scheduled at the same time.
While everybody appreciated Badosa on her impressive comeback, she had her mind elsewhere. Previously, the couple even shared having made a pact about not attending each other’s matches. On the other hand, despite Stefanos Tsitsipas having a tough start to the game, he backed it up with a win.
