World No. 10 Roberto Bautista Agut suffered an astonishing defeat in the Halle Open 2021. In the very first round of the marquee tournament, Bautista Agut was defeated in straight sets by Sebastian Korda. Much to his relief, the Spanish tennis star started off well in the Mallorca Open 2021.

After the first round bye, Bautista went past Italian player Stefano Travaglia in straight sets in the second round clash. Dominating the proceedings, the Spaniard finished the contest in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes and won by 6-3, 7-5 to confirm his place in the quarterfinals.

However, Travalgia tried scripting a comeback in the second set. He held on to his serve five times in a row in the second set, however, Bautista Agut kept his cool under pressure and ended up on the winning side. On the other hand, Sam Querrey got a walkover in his last encounter against Ugo Humbert.

Querrey was knocked out in the very first round of the Halle Open by Ugo Humbert. However, he had a good stint in the Stuttgart Open 2021 where he made his way through to the semis. Querrey would have to bring his A-game out in order to proceed further in the Mallorca Open.
