He has 88 singles titles to his name out of which 20 are the Grand Slams. Apart from this he has 11 doubles titles to his name and is the winner of the Davis Cup five times.
2021 has not been a great year for the player as he did not win any big tournaments and also in the middle of this year, he got a severe leg injury which left him off the court for many months.
But Rafa is seen at the Mubadala Tennis Championship giving his best which means that the legend has made a great recovery. His willpower and stamina are beyond anyone’s admiration.
Though, the World No.6 did not have a great season, he still managed to earn a very prestigious award. Rafa won the ATP Sportsmanship Award 2021, he has won this award for the fourth time. The official Twitter handle of the ATP shared this news on their account.
Indeed it was a well-deserved award for the player. He thanked every player who thought he would be the right one to receive the honor. Rafa was very happy to receive the award and wished his colleagues a great season ahead.
“I can’t be happier to receive one more time the Sportsmanship Award from my colleagues on the Tour,” Nadal said.”It means a lot to me, so thanks a lot to every player that thinks that I am the right one to receive this award. Honestly, it means a lot to me because I try to be always correct on court,“ Rafa said.“Thanks for believing in me and I wish all the very best for the 2022 season to all my colleagues on the Tour and I hope to see you soon,” he further added.
