Novak Djokovic was deported back to home country, as his visa was cancelled for the second time by Minister of Immigration just 2 days before the Australian Open 2022. The court decided to not uphold the appeal the second time around, as he asked to leave the country.

Novak Djokovic, unvaccinated, applied for medical exemption to compete in Australia. However, after several twists and turns, he was not able to defend his title at the Rod Laver Arena and fight for a record 21st major.

Now, after having left Australia, Novak Djokovic has visited the Ostrog monastery situated in Montenegro. The setting is just beautiful, as the place is situated up in the hills. After all the drama that has unfolded at Australian Open 2022, this is the right place for Novak to be at.

At one moment, it seemed that the drama surrounding Novak Djokovic’s visa would never end. However, Djokovic gracefully accepted the court’s decision and left the country. Now, he looks to escape from all the drama and controversy, as he seeks to find peace within himself.

Novak Djokovic will surely look to reflect on his vaccination stance, as he risks the opportunity of competing in a Grandslam again. Even French Open, which was the only major without vaccination rules has mandated covid-19 vaccination for all players involved.

It remains unclear as to when Novak Djokovic plays next. However, fans all over the world would be eager to see the Serbian back on court, and fight for the highest honors in the game.
