With the tournament around the corner, Rafael Nadal, the defending champion, made a startling declaration. The 14-time French Open champion announced his withdrawal from the tournament on Thursday. The Spaniard revealed the shocking news at a press conference. After missing the major clay surface tours, the 36-year-old was expected to mark his comeback in Paris. Due to ongoing injury issues, the Spanish athlete indicated that he is focused on his recovery and hinted at a return in 2024.
