Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis stars to ever the play is not just known for her achievements on court, but also her accomplishments off the court. Serena Williams is an influential business woman, and has several investments ranging from fashion to real estate.

Now, Serena Williams is making the most out of her time off-court, as she has joined the board of multi-billion blockchain based firm, Sorare. Sorare is a fantasy soccer game, which is based in Paris and has received the fifth largest funding in the crypto industry.

Sorare earned a funding of $680 million in a valuation of $4.3 billion. The game runs on Ethereum blockchain, as the game allows users to buy NFT’s of renowned soccer players and use them in their fantasy teams. The game then allows users to trade them with others.

Serena Williams to help Sorare explore North American market

Serena Williams has not been involved in action ever since she was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon first round clash in July. The American is all set to to bow out of the top 200 rankings of the world, once the Australian Open ends.

However, Serena Williams is already ready to make the shift in her career, as he is making her presence felt in the business world. Serena Williams will help Sorare to make a push into the North American region. Currently, it has IP licenses with La Liga in Spain, Bundesliga in Germany and with Juventus in Italy among others.

CEO of Sorare, Nicolas Julia stated that it was the perfect timing to bring someone like Serena Williams on board. “When you have the ambition to build the biggest entertainment group in the world of sports, and you have the opportunity to partner with one of the greatest athletes in history, you want that perspective,” said the CEO.
