Sevatsova comes into this match after beating Zarina Diyas in the first round. She also beat Marta Kostyuk in the last round.  The Latvian has spent adequate time on the grass after making the quarterfinals of Eastbourne, before losing to Elena Rybakina. Despite a tough clay season, Sevatsova has found decent success on the grass, but will be tested in the next round against the reigning French Open champion. The 31-year-old is also making her maiden third round appearance at Wimbledon this year. Will she be able to cross the first week hurdle at the All England Club?

On the other hand, Krejcikova is on a high after winning the 2021 French Open. Although she chose not to play a grass court warm up tournament before 2021 Wimbledon, she has shown no signs of any rust. In fact, she comfortably beat Claura Tauson and Andrea Petkovic in the first and second round respectively. Carrying on her Roland Garros momentum, the Czech girl is yet to drop a set at this year’s Championship. Given her recent Grand Slam success in Paris, who knows what she can achieve at the most prestigious event of the year.
