Amidst Novak Djokovic controversy related to the Australian Open, a piece of shocking news came to light. Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios updated that he has withdrawn from the upcoming ATP Sydney Tennis Classic.
The player posted this news on his Instagram handle which was later tweeted by the official Twitter handle of New York Times tennis correspondent Christopher Clarey.
Nick says the reason he has withdrawn is that he has been tested positive for COVID. Though he does not have any symptoms and is feeling healthy but chose to stay at home and take necessary health care and precautions. He also said that if everything goes alright, he might be seen at the Australian Open, 2022.
