Srdjan Djokovic stated that both him and his wife wanted to watch Novak in action during his final at Wimbledon. However, quarantine rules prevented them from going to the stadium to witness their son from the player’s box.

He lashed out at the authorities claiming that there were about 15,000-16,000 fans in the stadium, and so that quarantine rules did not make much sense.

“My wife and I wanted to go to Wimbledon, but these horrible people did not let us because we had to go in quarantine for a week, even though the stadium was packed with 15,000, 16,000 people. I will never forget that,” said Srdjan.

Srdjan Djokovic also wanted to go to to the Tokyo Olympics to see Novak in action. However, the last minute decision to hold the Games behind closed doors, meant he could only catch the action from his hometown in Serbia.
