World No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas seems to have taken a great interest in philosophy and it shows on his Twitter handle where he has been regularly tweeting motivational thoughts and quotes. The Greek is getting retweets and replies calling him Aristotle, a new-age Greek philosopher and other names for his recent activity.
Stef recently gave a talk on Twitter Spaces in the session titled ‘Finding Comfort in Life‘ where he talked about the mental health challenges as a player especially talking about how he deals with the pressure of playing at the big stages and big matches that require as much control on your nerves as one needs on their racquet.
“I definitely embrace the pressure and make it a part of me. It’s something that I strive for. Instead of becoming my enemy, it becomes my friend. I live and breathe for pressure. And that’s when the best of things come. Many people see pressure as a curse and something that is really negative and it’s seen as something that’s very difficult to deal with.
“But I really see it on the bright side of things. I do feel like the pressure is something that can lead to great things in life. Whether you’re doing sports or anything else, having the opportunity to feel that pressure is incredible. Every day is a brand new day and it’s just exciting too,” said Stefanos.
“Start every single day hungry” Stefanos Tsitsipas on approach to every day

With the 23-year old playing his first Grand Slam final this year where despite being 2-sets up going into the 3rd set, he lost the remaining three sets to Novak Djokovic in the finals of the 2021 French Open who clinched his 19th Grand Slam title and stopped Stef from winning his first.
“Start every single day hungry and as if you’ve never done anything before, and I think that’s the mentality that leads to good things in life, whether that’s in your career or life. Gratitude is not just merely settling for what you already have, it is appreciating what you already have and not complaining about things you don’t have. Also, being willing to take action and work hard towards what you don’t have, I think that’s important,” added Stef.
Tsitsipas has often been credited to go to any length to improve his game, be it yoga, dieting, extra workouts etc and now the Greek youngster finding ways to manage the pressure, an exciting season can be expected from him in 2022.
