Novak Djokovic bids the legendary Juan Martin del Potro a happy farewell. After suffering from injuries throughout his career the Argentine player finally decided to put an end to his career.
del Potro had been one of the greatest players in the past two decades who was constantly able to not only challenge but also defeat the big three. He had a wonderful career filled with injuries, surgeries, and comebacks.
del Potro had close relations with each and every player including the world No.1. Djokovic and del Potro went face to face numerous times in their careers and we saw some of the greatest matches between the two legendary players.
Juan Martin del Potro receives admiration from Novak Djokovic
Juan Martin del Potro with his magnificent forehand and his intelligent game was able to defeat any opponent on his day. The 2009 US Open champion and two-time Olympic medalist had a short but great career.
Novak Djokovic posted a story on his Instagram displaying his admiration towards the Argentine. In the story he wrote, “Thanks @delpotrojuan for all thrills! You are so big!”
del Potro was one of the few players who had good realtions with each and every opponent of his. His nature on and off the court was really polite and people throughout the world loved for him for that.
del Potro has certainly left a legacy behind him which will be appreciated by all the tennis players. It’s a pity that the world wasn’t able to watch him dominate on the court due to iinjuries but tennis fans will always love him for his exciting perfoermances throughout his career.
