Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams

Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka are some of the most popular tennis players on the planet and their popularity is visible on their social media handles as well. While the love of fans certainly helps the players for building their confidence, the close proximity and easy communication between the players and their followers has its ill effects as well. With the players just a tag away, many of the social media users make use of this facility to inflict abuse on the players.

As per a recent Twitter survey done by Pickwise, the list of tennis players with the most abusive tweets received during the 2021 year was revealed recently and some shocking numbers were seen. From a list of 1,00,000 tweets taken, Osaka topped the list with 32,415 abusive tweets followed by Serena on the 2nd spot with 18,118 tweets followed by Andy Murray who had 11,732 abusive tweets.
