Roger in Paris: UNIQLO announces a sale of Roger Federer’s merchandise prior to the French Open 2021

Roger Federer is one of the most well-known and respected athletes around the world. The Swiss maestro has several brand endorsements and sponsorships, due to his large fan-base. One of his most vital partnerships is with Uniqlo Co., Ltd, a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer.

Recently, Roger Federer returned to action at the Geneva Open 2021, which marked his first clay court tournament in over two years, and only his second tournament this year so far. Preparations have begun for the French Open 2021, as UNIQLO have announced a full lineup of tennis wear, which Roger Federer will wear, while competing in Paris. There is a nice twist in regards to it’s manufacturing, and will have a vibrant red color.

Roger Federer to feature at French Open for the second time in six years

Roger Federer will feature at the French Open 2021, as the eighth seed. Moreover, it will be only his second appearance in Paris in six years. The Swiss has often skipped the tournament in order to save his legs for a full-fledged grass court season. The 39-year old was defeated in the semifinals of the French Open 2019 by Rafael Nadal in straight sets.

Roger Federer suffered a defeat on his return to clay courts last week, as he lost in three sets to the Spaniard, Pablo Andujar in the second round. However, he will hope for a quick turnaround in Paris, and put up at least a good fight.

Speaking about the UNIQLO’s merchandise, Roger Federer fans can shop for tennis wear, as the sale starts on May 24. It is also available in popular kids sizes, and is surely not something which hardcore Federer fans want to miss out on.
