Djokovic is a 5-time champion at the Indian Wells but might not be allowed for the Indian Wells Masters this year as the USA has made vaccination compulsory for all of their foreign nationals. This could mean Djokovic would have to miss both the Indian Wells and the Miami Masters.

Having already lost his valuable points due to his absence at the Australian Open, he might drop his points at the French Open as well as France is also considering making vaccination compulsory for all of its foreigners. With a major threat to his points and rankings and absence from the Tour, there looks to be some good news for Djokovic fans.

As confirmed by Novak’s uncle, Goran Djokovic, Novak will be playing at the upcoming 2022 Serbian Open. “Novak confirmed that he will certainly participate, and we still have a lot of attractive applications, so we expect a strong tournament again,” said Goran who will be the tournament advisor whereas Novak’s brother Djordje Djokovic will be the tournament director for the Serbian Open that is scheduled from April 18 to April 25.

Djokovic will be making his season debut at the upcoming 2022 Dubai Championships, the ATP-500 tournament where Novak has been a 5-time champion, winning his 5th title in 2020. The Serbian will be the top-seed at the tournament that will feature some good players in the form of Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Hubert Hurkacz, Jannik Sinner and Karatsev to name a few.
