Jimmy Butler, a player of the Miami Heat, made a surprise appearance at the Miami Open to delight Emma Raducanu, his daughter’s “favourite player,” as well as Madison Keys and Francis Tiafoe. Butler also taught 2020 US Open champion Emma Raducanu how to prepare a latte from Oats using his Big Face Coffee, which was named the authorized players’ cafe for this year’s Miami Open, while the tennis stars chilled there.
Jimmy Butler started Big Face Coffee as a pop-up NBA Bubble cafe in his Disney World hotel room, selling $20 mugs. He started his company in October 2021 with the purpose of offering speciality coffee to everyone.
“I am thrilled to be here”-Jimmy Butler
In an interview with PEOPLE, the Miami Heat star didn’t forget to name the World No.13 as his daughter’s “favourite player” while helping her through the steps. He went on to say that the “Big Face Coffee brand is present during all events” and that he was excited to witness some of the best tennis players compete. “I’m thrilled to be here at the Miami Open this week. Our Big Face Coffee brand is present during all tournaments and having the chance to see some of the best players like Emma compete is what it’s all about.”
When it came to Raducanu, she returned the compliment after he demonstrated his barista abilities. “He did really well and the coffee art was something,” she remarked, giving it a 9 out of 10 rating. “I’m so happy to be at the Miami Open! It was so much fun learning how to make a latte with Jimmy and I know he’s a huge tennis fan and will catch a few matches,” the Brit concluded.
Emma Raducanu is all set to stage a comeback in the Miami open 2022
Emma Raducanu, the tournament’s No. 11 seed, beat Caroline Garcia in three sets in the first round at Indian Wells 2022 but lost 6-7, 6-4, 7-5 in the third round against Petra Martic. Raducanu had missed her previous tournament in Mexico due to a hip injury, and her participation in the early US hardcourt portion of the season had been questioned. She also revealed that she had struggled with a back ailment while training to regain her form and fitness after losing to Martic. However, despite all of this, she is optimistic and ready to heal from a stiff back in time for the Miami Open, where she is to face Katerina Siniakova in the second round.
