The fans are waiting and hoping for their idol, Roger Federer to make a great comeback on the tour in the late summer this year. To add to the hope, the 20 time grand slam champion posted an Instagram reel in which he was seen hitting some clean balls with his wand – that is his racket.
Road to Comeback
Federer last played competitive tennis in the Wimbledon last year where he made it to the quarter finals of the event. He was ultimately defeated by Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter finals of the event. He lost the match in straight sets with the score line of 6-3, 7-6, 6-0. Since this match, Federer had undergone major knee surgeries and was on crutches for a many weeks and also informed that he would be out for many months. The last update he gave was in the interview with Credit Suisse that he will get a much better picture in this year’s April or May and is positive on his return on tour
He wants to be healthy and also wants to give himself a “glimmer of hope” to return to tour with some shape or form. Though its really tough, he still wishes to make an impactful return on tour as he believes in these kind of miracles.
