Former World No. 1 in both Singles and Doubles discipline, Serena Williams and Venus Williams recently walked the red carpet at the premiere of the movie ‘King Richard’, a biopic on their father Richard Williams who was also their first-ever coach.
The movie aims to bring forth the journey of the Williams family who hailed from Compton and with their struggles and battles to overcome various obstacles became world champions. The movie was first screened at the 48th Telluride Film Festival on September 2, 2021, and received positive reviews for the story and also for actors Will Smith who portrays Richard Williams, Saniyya Sidney who stars as Venus Williams and Demi Singleton who is playing Serena Williams.
While Serena and her daughter Olympia were in matching black outfits and donned a white bead necklace. While Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian was in a formal black coat and white shirt outfit, Venus was seen wearing a shiny silver one-piece having matching silver braids.
King Richard to release on HBO Max and in theatres on November 19
With special screenings held for private audiences already, the movie is set for a worldwide theatre release and a direct release on HBO Max on the 19th November. Ever since the trailer is out, there has been a lot of excitement around the movie as fans are excited to know further more about the Williams family.
With the season already over, Serena who is currently ranked World No. 41 will be next seen in action directly next year as the WTA season has ended and the best of return will be hoped by her fans next year.
