The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year, the US Open, is all set to return after nearly two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Held in Flushing, New York, it’s undoubtedly one of the most prestigious tournaments in tennis circuits making its hype circle around fans across the globe, showcasing tennis giants and rising stars.
The first-ever US Open was held in 1881, since then the tournament has been one of the fan favourites with this year being its 142nd edition. The event will be showcased from 29th August to 11th September.
What is the pricing for tickets at the US Open?
Before the tournament main draw inaugurates, the week before it leads us to a fan week which includes the qualifying rounds for the tournament. The fan week is all about the US Open players’ practice, entertainment, and good music which is generally free or costs pennies on the dollar.
However, the week following gets us down to serious business where ticket pricing although varies according to the seating area selected, the average cost of a ticket comes to around $350. The Arthur Ashe Stadium known for its enormous 23,000 seating capacity can set you back nearly thousands of dollars for the championship rounds, nevertheless, they offer fans a wide range of ticket prices ranging anywhere with a starting price of $127 for early rounds and $387 for the finals.
Tickets for the same just like any other sporting event are available at the official US Open site but resellers such as Ticketmaster, and Seat Geek. The sale of tickets went live on June 6 with American Express Card Members getting a week jumpstart over the general public.
