The final weekend of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships awaits us, and we will witness the crowning of a new Grand Slam champion in the women’s draw. Sixth seed and last year’s runner-up Ons Jabeur will lock horns against unseeded Czech Markéta Vondroušová.

Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, Catherine Middleton, will return to the Royal Box today to catch a glimpse of the action unfolding on Centre Court. Her Royal Highness made her debut appearance at the Royal Box on Day 2, sitting beside 8-time champion and perennial crowd favorite Roger Federer. The Princess of Wales, who is also the Patron of The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, will present the Venus Rosewater Dish to the champion.

The on-court interviews will be conducted by Annabel Croft. That’s not all, SpiderMan fame Andrew Garfield will be there to witness the iconic clash.

Icons of women’s tennis, Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King, also occupied their respective seats in the Royal Box. It is worthwhile to mention that Billie Jean King was the last unseeded player prior to Vondroušová to make it to the Wimbledon Women’s Singles final, back in 1963.

The Princess of Wales took over the trophy presentation duties last year, following the retirement of His Royal Highness Prince Edward, The Duke of Kent, as President of The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. His Royal Highness Prince Edward rendered yeoman service to the Wimbledon Championships for 52 years.
