Andy Roddick is considered by many as one of the greatest tennis players the USA has produced. He is quite popular amongst American tennis fans. He is also the only male American tennis professional who has won a Grand Slam singles title in the last 20 years.

Andrew Stephen Roddick or popularly known as Andy Roddick was born in 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. He turned pro in 2000. However, he won his first and only Grand Slam singles title in 2003. He won the US Open men’s singles title beating Juan Carlos Ferrero in the final 6–3, 7–6, 6–3 at the age of 21 years.

Later in the same year, he attained the World No.1 spot. He became the first American to finish the season as World No.1 since Andre Agassi did in 1999. He also became the youngest American to take the top spot.

Andy Roddick took an early retirement at the age of 30 years from singles events in 2012. He subsequently retired from doubles events in 2015. He played his last singles match against Juan Martin del Potro in the fourth round of the US Open 2012 where he lost to the Argentinian in four sets.

Together with Mardy Fish, he played his last match at the Atlanta Open. They were knocked out in the quarter-final round of this tournament. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2017.

He married Brooklyn Decker and the couple also has two children.

Brooklyn Decker is an actress and model from Kettering, Ohio, USA. Her modeling credits include spreads and covers for Sports Illustrated, Victoria’s Secret, GQ, Esquire, and GAP, among others. She has also appeared in episodes of Ugly Betty, New Girl, Chuck, and Royal Pains.

She rose to prominence in 2011 after co-starring in the romantic comedy Just Go With It with Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, and Nicole Kidman. Her other film credits include What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Battleship. Brooklyn joined the Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin-led Netflix series Grace and Frankie in May 2015. She remained a member of the cast of the show till it ended in April 2022.

Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker started seeing one another in 2007. She is almost four years younger than him. They were engaged in 2008 and the couple tied the knot in 2009.

Andy and Brooklyn had their first child, a son called Hank, on September 30, 2015. Two years later, in November 2017, the actress gave birth to their daughter Stevie, joining the family they were building.
