Djokovic is married to his high-school sweetheart Jelena Djokovic nee Ristic. The couple met in high school and began dating in 2005, 2 years since Novak had turned Pro. Jelena is often seen with Novak at tournaments supporting him from the player’s box.

The couple announced their engagement in September 2013 and got married on 10th July 2014, 4 days after Djokovic won his 2nd Wimbledon title and the 7th major of his career at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships. They married in Montenegro and on 12th July 2014, a church wedding was held in the Church of Saint Stephen in Montenegro itself.

Jelena heads the Novak Djokovic Foundation and looks after the philanthropic work while her husband continues to dominate the sport. The couple is quite popular on social media and they often post photos together. Following his 2022 Wimbledon title, Djokovic dedicated his title to Jelena as it was their wedding anniversary.

Novak and Jelena are parents of two kids. They were blessed with a boy Stefan who was born on 22nd October 2014, 4 months after their wedding. Novak and Jelena became parents for the second time on 9th September 2017 when their daughter Tara was born. The kids call Novak ‘Tata’ which is Serbian for Dad and are often spotted along with their mother cheering for their superstar dad.

Stefan has followed the footsteps of his father and uncles and is often spotted with the tennis racket in his hand. The father-son duo also had hitting sessions together during the Serb’s title-winning run at the 2022 Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic’s parents are Dijana and Srdjan Djokovic and he was raised in a very adverse pro-war environment.
