Mats Wilander and Andy Murray
Mats Wilander has clearly turned his jacket around after speaking strongly against Andy Murray when asked if it was okay for the Briton to ‘steal’ the invitations of younger players more than a year ago.
This time the former World No.1 and a Eurosport consultant praised the Scot for his incredible vision of the game.

“Andy Murray has this ability to make his opponent a little worse. First of all, it is a sign of humility. It’s a sign of someone who knows that he has certain limitations as a player. And I think the players who know their own limits are the ones who are the greatest players in the world. Andy Murray knows there are players who have more power,” Wilander said.
“They might even have better touch. I don’t think they’re stronger, but they’re faster on the court, more explosive, and he knows he has to make them a little less good to be able to beat them. It is a sign of humility. And that’s a tennis IQ sign. Andy Murray’s tennis IQ is probably the highest ever,” said the Swede, who has changed his tone dramatically over the past year.
The former World No. 1 and a Eurosport consultant had a change of mind about Murray during the past year. Last year Wilander said that the Scot needs to stop thinking about just himself and he should consider whether he has the right to accept wild cards into Grand Slams at the expense of emerging young players.
