Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad will lock horns in the main event of UFC 304. The fight will take place in Manchester with the UFC welterweight title on the line. Going into the fight, the animosity between both fighters is at its height. This was clearly visible when they met at the Fighter Hotel.
In the UFC 304 Embedded series, the camera captured Belal Muhammad coming face-to-face with Leon Edwards in the hotel elevator. Muhammad was already inside the elevator with the UFC cameraman. As the door opened, Edwards entered with his coach and brother. Inside the elevator, both fighters sized up and mocked each other.
Edwards and Muhammad’s rivalry began with their no-contest fight in 2021 due to Edwards’ accidental eye poke. The Brit later became the UFC Welterweight Champion, while Muhammad has an impressive unbeaten run. After waiting for years, Muhammad finally got the opportunity to take the belt and his revenge. He has plans to defeat Edwards and become the first-ever Palestinian UFC champion.
Both fighters have not left any opportunities to throw shade at each other in several interviews. All this has kept fight fans invested in their rivalry. Furthermore, the weird elevator interaction between Muhammad and Edwards definitely got the attention of many fight fans.
