The voices surrounding Teoscar Hernandez’s re-signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers are growing louder and louder day by day. People on social media want ‘Teo’ back in their white and blue. It turns out the same sentiment is echoed by the player himself.
During a press conference on Friday, Hernandez reiterated how much he wants to stay in LA and with the team. He talked about how much he learned and enjoyed his year with the Dodgers. As such, he wishes to continue his MLB journey with them.
The LA Dodgers got Teoscar Hernandez on a $23.5 million deal ahead of the 2024 season for 1 year. He has now hit the free agency along with his teammate Jack Flaherty.

He even joked about how he would sign the deal tomorrow if they brought it to him. Hernandez had only words of praise for his teammates. He said, “I have so many good memories here,” and has grown as a person and a player, too. “It feels great to be part of this,” he said.
Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez played a crucial role during the World Series. His two-run tied the game for the Dodgers in the 5th inning of Game 5 remained crucial. It made it possible for the team to strike back and clinch the World Series.
In October, the outfielder said that he did not have any talks about an extension with the team but is expecting a discussion after WS. However, the team has to consider the signing amount, as many of their star players are testing the 2024 market already.
LA Dodgers may have to leave Teoscar Hernandez for bigger agents
The Los Angeles Dodgers have a lot to do with the free agency wars starting in 2024. They have a lot of players un-signed, and re-signing all of them will mean the team can’t go for other high-paid players.
Currently, Teoscar Hernandez, Jack Flaherty, Kike Hernandez, and Walker Buehler. Many among them will be looking forward to signing a long-term contract which may hinder the team in approaching players like Juan Soto in free agency.
As per reports, the team will try to get Soto, but his contract is expected to reach more than $500 million. If they wish to sign Soto, they won’t be able to offer an extension to ‘Teo’ whose value hyped up after the World Series.
