Free agent outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has time and again noted how much he’d love to be a Dodger after their World Series run in October. However, the hold-up seems to be on the L.A. side.
Since the 32-year-old hit free agency, fans have been clamoring to Dodgers on bringing back Hernandez. Whether their wish will come true is yet to be seen. It all sums down to what the player wants.
The Dodgers recently added outfielder Michael Conforto and may not necessarily hand over a high-deal contract for Hernandez. Either Teoscar Hernandez remains with the Los Angeles Dodgers on their submitted deal or he signs with another interested team.
Currently, the interested teams for Hernandez’s services are – the Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cincinnati Reds. Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins talked about how they’d like to bring back Hernandez in a possible move.
Teoscar Hernandez has received multiple offers, but is still prioritizing re-signing with the Dodgers, sources tell me.

The Blue Jays are currently in 2nd, with the Red Sox a distant 3rd.
The Yankees are less of a priority. The Phillies and Reds have also checked in.
Yankees, on the other hand, seem to have dimmed their interest in the outfielder as they are rumored to be pursuing Kyle Tucker and Alex Bregman. The Phillies and Reds have not made much progress, but are still in the race for his services.
With the Dodgers remaining the priority for Hernandez, the Blue Jays are currently in 2nd and the Red Sox in 3rd place. The Dodgers wish to be careful who they sign, especially if it’s a long-term deal. Hernandez’s move will certainly intrigue the whole MLB world, especially after outfielder Juan Soto’s $765 million signing.
Social media reacts to Teoscar Hernandez and Dodgers’ uncertain future
Following the end of Winter Meetings, Los Angeles Dodgers executive Brandon Gomes didn’t sound very positive about a reunion with Teoscar Hernandez. While he acknowledged him being a key player in their World Series win, he said they’ll “keep looking to add talent where we can.”
Fans over social media have been calling out to the Dodgers to re-sign Hernandez since the end of the postseason. While they seemed positive in the beginning, there seems to be a hold-up now.
One X user commented, “This essentially confirms he’s not coming back,” while Blue Jays fans are hoping for a reunion of their own. One of them noted, “Then sign Vladdy and sign Teo! Get it done.” Check more fan reactions below:

He did not answer the question and he did not sound confident about Teo… “Talent where we can” is not an positive endorsement

The obvious conclusion is they are still not in sync on the AAV and/or the number of years of the contract. Based on other comments I've read, it seems like the Dodgers have made their final offer and it's up to Teoscar whether to accept it or a better offer elsewhere.

stop fucking around and sign him – he was the fiery clubhouse leader we needed for years and you can’t just let him walk after finally winning a world series

Anyone who seriously thinks Teo would ever come back here is dreaming. He just won a World Series!!!

THEN SIGN VLADDY and SIGN TEO! GET IT Done

TALK IS CHEAP ATKINS! @BlueJays

Yep wants to stay with the Dodgers. Can't blame him.

When asked whether Juan Soto’s 15-year $765 million signing will affect the free agency, Gomes noted that it may or may not be the case. It is yet to be seen if Hernandez waits and takes the Dodgers’ offer or ends up with another deal on a million-dollar contract.
