Outfielder and one of Los Angeles Dodgers’ favorite players Teoscar Hernandez took to social media to talk about his 2024 season run. He recently won his 2nd Silver Slugger Award after an outstanding performance in the World Series.

After being crowned the World Series champions, Hernandez’s emotional speech at the parade will be remembered by the fans for a long time. Since the Fall Classic ended, the fans have been asking for an extension, and it seems like it’s a work in progress.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Hernandez did not talk about any contract extension during the ongoing season. After the season ended, he got a qualifying offer of 1-year $21.05 million from the team.

They’ll further sit down to discuss the details. Following a stellar year, Hernandez will undoubtedly attract a lot of teams with long-term contracts. However, the outfielder has said he’ll favor the Dodgers over others in case they extend an offer. 

“I’m going to do everything in my power to come back,” he said right after the World Series. Even Dodgers GM Brandon Gomes noted, “We’ll have conversations with Teo and his group ASAP.” On Monday, he took to Instagram to thank the Dodgers fans for all their support.

He further noted that he never “had a moment like that when everybody was trying to give me that love that [fans] have been giving me all year. That was incredible.” Fans have been asking for Hernandez to be back and the Dodgers are already working their way. Seems like there’ll be good news for the Dodgers fans soon.

Teoscar Hernandez said it was pretty emotional seeing the whole city cheering for them in the parade. During his interview with MLB Network, he expressed that he’s a pretty “emotional guy” and that moment got him good.

Hernandez further said that in his seven years in the big league, he has never experienced anything like that. One X user noted, “Dodgers need to re-sign Teoscar today!!!!!!”. Another added, “BRING. HIM. BACK.” Check more reactions below:
