Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are struggling to find their footing as a tag team. The Aussie superstar has been constantly pushing him into the fire to save himself. The mishaps have been happening ever since they became tag team champions at WrestleMania XL. The same thing happened when the duo confronted American boxer, Terence Crawford.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory called out Terence Crawford. The boxer had helped Cody Rhodes against the duo on the previous week’s episode of SmackDown by handing him a chair. When Waller challenged him to knock Theory out without his consent, Crawford did exactly that, knocking him out with just one punch. The segment only made things worse for the duo.
These were the same mishaps that led to them losing the titles they won at WrestleMania XL. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated them on the July 5 episode of SmackDown. For the past few weeks, they have been feuding with the current Undisputed WWE Champion. They blamed The American Nightmare for causing them to suffer the wrath of Jacob Fatu. On last week’s episode of SmackDown, they engaged in a tag team battle against Rhodes and Owens, which they lost again.
It is only a matter of time before the former United States Champion understands his so-called friend’s shenanigans. Fans are also clamoring for his turn as a face, so they can witness a fresh storyline and a new side of Theory. He has never been a face since his debut on the main roster.

The Aussie superstar once again saved himself from embarrassment by using Austin Theory as his shield. After the events of the latest episode of SmackDown, he sent a message to Crawford on social media. Moreover, he also had something to say about his tag team partner.
He took to X and stated that the boxer made a smart decision by not attacking him; otherwise, he would have been embarrassed before his fight. Crawford will fight Israil Madrimov on August 3, the same day WWE will host their SummerSlam event. He remains unbeaten in his boxing career, with 40 wins, 31 knockouts, and 0 losses.

He also praised Theory, stating that he wasn’t afraid of anyone. Waller saw this as a sign of bravery, considering he had gone toe-to-toe with top boxers like Tyson Fury and now Crawford. However, in reality, it was an embarrassment for the former U.S. Champion to be attacked by them. Only time will tell when Theory will realize that he is just being used by the Aussie star.
