Over the years, the boxing community has witnessed multiple rivalries among competitors. However, only a few of these rivalries have involved boxers from different weight categories. Recently, the WBA super welterweight champion Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford and WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis caught everyone’s attention with their online banter.
The feud between the two boxing champions began after Gervonta Davis was left out of the Ring Magazine Awards ceremony. Recently, Turki Alalshikh, who has taken over the Ring, hosted several notable professional boxers worldwide. However, Davis was upset about not receiving an invitation, and Crawford couldn’t resist making fun of him. After ‘Tank’ retaliated, the ‘Bud’ issued a stern warning to him.
Crawford’s teasing of Davis further fueled Tank’s anger. As a result, the lightweight champion launched a brutal diss spree on his social media. However, Bud couldn’t handle it and reacted angrily during an Instagram Live session about the ongoing situation. Interestingly, Tank took a jab at Crawford by involving the WBA junior middleweight champion’s family. In response, Bud wanted to break Davis’ neck.

Interestingly, Crawford also desires to settle his differences with Davis outside of a professional boxing ring. In terms of their boxing careers, Tank is scheduled to fight WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach in March. Meanwhile, there has been no confirmation regarding Crawford’s next fight, although there are hints that an announcement may come soon.
