Terrell Owens hasn’t lost his touch. He dominated the gridiron during his playing days, and now he is hitting home runs for fun.
Not for a Major League team, but rather at a celebrity softball game in Arlington, Texas, on July 13th, Saturday. Owens was part of a high-profile lineup that included the likes of Deion Sanders and Dez Bryant.
The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver walked onto the plate when his team led 10-2 in the top of the fifth during the final inning. As softball legend Jenny Finch threw the pitch, Owens, with a slight movement of his wrist, smashed a 50-yard home run.
As a matter of fact, the hit was so strong it was close to being an MLB-level Dinger. Then, in typical Terrell Owens fashion, he went for a slow victory lap, enjoying every moment.

Owens’ National League side were now 12-2 up against their opponents, but they refused to give up and pushed for a late comeback. Eventually, the lead was too big for them to chase down and the game ended 12-10. It was a great effort, nonetheless.
Terrell Owens showed concern for the Dallas Cowboys
At the celebrity softball game, TO spoke with the reporters, providing his perspective about which team in Texas should have a better 2024 season. The six-time Pro Bowler had a clear winner in mind.
There [are] two football teams here in Texas. If I had to tip my hat to one of those teams to go far, I would say the Houston Texans.Terrell Owens told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram

The reason behind the NFL Hall of Famer backing the Texans was their strong finish in 2023. Rookie CJ Stroud led the Houston franchise to the AFC Divisional Round game against the Baltimore Ravens, which they eventually lost.
Owens added that Stroud would have a similar impact again this season. On top of that, the Texans added All-Pro receiver Stefon Diggs from the Bills.
When further asked about his former team, the Cowboys’ chances, Owens quipped that it would be the same old story for the Star helmets.
Every year there’s high hopes for the Dallas Cowboys. Only for a lot of disappointment.Terrell Owens added
The Cowboys went back-to-back seasons with 12-5 finishes. 2024 could be the last season for several of the team players and even the coaches.
Quarterback Dak Prescott is entering the final year of his contract, as are All-Pro receiver CeeDee Lamb and edge rusher Micah Parsons. Head coach Mike McCarthy remains on the hot seat, and the results of the new season will decide his future.
