CJ Stroud has many celebrity followers, and he should add another one to his list. Travis Scott has taken a liking to the Houston Texans quarterback.
The ‘Goosebumps’ singer has been an avid football lover for a while. He grew up supporting the Texas Longhorns, and that infatuation rolled over to the Texans in the NFL.
Travis Scott gave the ultimate tribute to Stroud in his latest song ‘Houstatlantaville’ in collaboration with EST Gee and Lil Baby. Midway through the song, Scott’s song contains the lyrics, “In the 7 / quarterbacking like I’m C.J.”
Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle noticed the subtle but very meaningful inclusion of Stroud in the verse.

Ironically, during the College Football Playoff final game between Notre Dame and Ohio State, Scott cheered against Stroud’s Buckeyes. Scott’s reason was very simple. He wanted the Irish to win because the Buckeyes defeated the Longhorns in the semis to qualify for the championship game.
The 33-year-old was present at the game to perform during the halftime show. Scott left the fans at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Atlanta by debuting a new song, ‘4×4.’

Stroud had the last laugh. The Buckeyes defeated Notre Dame 34-23 to clinch the title of the best college football team of 2024.
Stroud and Scott are no strangers. After bagging the Offensive Rookie of the Year title, Stroud participated in Scott’s celebrity softball game aside from joining Tom Brady and Joe Burrow at Michael Rubin’s White Party.

CJ Stroud to soon have a new offensive coordinator at Texans
Many believed Stroud’s rookie season set a benchmark for him to build on. However, he experienced a dip during his second season. The former second-overall pick’s yards per game went from averaging 270+ to under 220. He threw seven more interceptions, three fewer passing touchdowns, and zero scores on the ground compared to his rookie year.
Not long after the season ended, the Texans fired offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik after just two years. According to Lance Zierlein of ESPN 97.5, the relationship between Stroud and Slowik wasn’t very great even before the draft. Slowik reportedly wasn’t impressed with Stroud’s too confident attitude, but the Texans took the Ohio State graduate.
Slowik’s departure opened up a vacancy in Houston. They have identified several potential candidates as their future OC. The list includes Washington’s assistant coach Brian Johnson, Packers’ offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich, and Vikings’ assistant offensive coordinator/assistant quarterbacks coach Grant Udinski.

He previously interviewed with #Seahawks and is expected to interview with AFC South champions, making him eighth candidate overall
The Texans are currently busy interviewing them one by one. Stroud will soon have a new coach to work with.
